The warranty on the individual Zippo products

Gas and electronic inserts, hand warmers, HeatBanks, clocks, writing instruments, FlexNeck, MPL, Mini MPL and other Zippo products - no extraordinary warranties

For all other products (except Zippo gasoline and BLU lighters), you have the standard 2-year warranty set out in the Danish Sale of Goods Act. This means that the warranty covers defects in the product, but does not cover damage caused by careless or incorrect use of the product and surfaces are not covered. The receipt must be saved if you wish to make a claim for a product..

Zippo inventor, George G. Blaisdell, promised that no one would ever have to pay a cent to have a Zippo gasoline lighter repaired. That's why all classic Zippos come with a unique perpetual warranty on the mechanical parts. Should something happen to any imprint on the lighter, this is covered by the 2-year warranty, so we recommend that you keep your receipt for 2 years.

The Zippo Butane lighter (formerly known as BLU) also has a lifetime warranty.
